Do we remember Allen Iverson's first and only trip to the finals: when he took the biggest bunch of bums to the NBA finals like it's easy or something?

I purposely stayed away from all the hype concerning LeBron and the now infamously titled: “Decision”. My opinion that James would stay in Cleveland mistakingly trying to build a legacy that can rival the greats that he is too often compared to. Micheal Jordan never left the Bulls and it took him a while to get his first ring but I guess the man has set the deadline for how long you can stay with a team before you should give up on their championship aspirations to ensure your own. Kobe got his first title faster than Jordan did but Kobe had Shaq blinding us from how truly great he is all by himself. Seems like no matter what though: Lebron can’t just go to a good team and win. It’s almost like we like to see people suffer- so we want him to try and win championships with the skeleton crew of: Verajo[Cav's second best player!?!], Delonte [your best players mom's fiance] West, and who…? An ancient Shaq?

It’s almost as if we believe so much in him that it is unfair for him to have a decent team let alone a good team around him. So then I think about the Gary Paytons, Alonzo Mournings, Kevin Garnetts: guys who were in the position of being the franchise for a franchise that had no hope. Seattle used GP to sell tickets and had no faith he’d win going anywhere else because they knew he was passed his prime. [I'm]So glad he got his ring: he deserved it. Now maybe it would have felt better if was a Supersonic and won but it would’ve hurt more if he never won a ring no matter what team he played for.

So this is for the Stocktons and Malones, and Wilkins’ who are going to the hall of fame with out that precious hardware, I’m happy that LeBron is in Miami now not for money but because he wants to win. He wants to win becasue that’s what he’s used to, that’s his passion and hunger not because he’s being compared to legends everyday and needs championships to uphold those comparisons.

Do we remember Allen Iverson’s first and only trip to the finals: when he took the biggest bunch of bums to the NBA finals like it’s easy or something? Remember when the Eastern Conference was so thick: Milwaukee had the Big Three, Pacers were still in contention and had Miller and I don’t mean Brad, the Nets were a playoff team with out surprising the world, even knick fans still expected to have a post season [lmao]; do you remember the all heart 76ers fighting through all those tough teams to get shunned off by the Lakers in a 4-1 route of a series. Point is just because a team has one of the best players doesn’t mean it is one of the best teams and NBA players live and die for a champoinship,. Championships are won by the best TEAM year after year; who’s not in it to win it? So LeBron is not greedy or selfish and he’s not going to be cursed for leaving Cleveland at least in my opinion and I hope he wins a ring with Bosh and Wade. It worked for KG and Allen and I rooted for them too… now if they could just get Allen Iverson on their bench some how….
